Our 100% Merino Wool Felt
The wool which makes up our 100% Merino Wool Felt is sourced globally and manufactured in Europe. The wool is washed, carded and felted using natural soap and hot water, the fibres of the wool are rubbed together and become Woolfelt.
All our wool products meet the very high standards of the UNE-EN 71-2, UNE-EN 71-3 and Öko-Tex 100. This means they are free of harmful chemicals and are non flammable. Especially important when making products for children.
Whilst we try our very best to capture the beautiful colours of our Merino Wool Felt, we know not all monitors and devices are made the same. We have a gorgeous colour card range for purchase in our store for perfect colour matching.
Please note, all our fabric is cut by our manufacturer by hand, so there may be small variations in size.
Our 100% Wool Felt Balls
Our 100% Wool Felt Balls are handmade in Nepal by a group of wonderful Nepalese women.
Committed to fair trade our suppliers use only eco-friendly dyes and are free from chemicals and toxins.
As with our felt, we try our very best to get true representations of the colours of our felt balls. If you are colour matching, we have colour cards available in the shop for purchase.
Even though the utmost care is taken in making our felt balls, they are handmade and may have small size variations.
Our Wool Blend Felt
Our beautiful wool blend felt is a mix of 20-35% wool and 65-80% rayon. Rayon is made from wood pulp, a naturally occurring polymer. Which makes our wool blend a renewable resource.
Our blend felt is wonderfully versatile and resistant to piling and will hold its shape. Beautifully easy to cut and of course will not fray.
