DMC Colour Variations is a subtly shade shifting six stranded embroidery thread that creates delicately tonal patterns without ever having to change thread. Mercerised twice for a gorgeous sheen, this lovely thread is made from the finest 100% long staple cotton, in fade resistant colours.

For counted cross stitch designs choose how to form your stitches for different Colour Variations effects:
One cross stitch at a time will give you more control over the placement of the variation in the thread and create more intricate patterns.
Row of half stitches then turn and complete cross-stitches will create a "tweeded" or blended appearance.
Colour and Washing: DMC Colour Variations is 100% colour-fast and can be washed in warm water 60°C though please take into account the care instructions for the fabric you have embroidered.
